IN Workshop: Promotion and Tenure packages for community-based research

1–2 minutes

Navigating promotion, tenure or annual review shouldn’t feel like guesswork. Community-based research brings with it unique considerations: it often unfolds at a slower pace, it can create community benefits that may not be easily captured by university metrics, and relies on skills and innovative methods that aren’t always simple to articulate.

Join IndigeLab Network (IN) member Dr. Max Liboiron, along with Dr. Arn Keeling and IN member Dr. Rosie Alegado, for a one-day, hands-on workshop on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 3:00–5:00 PM (NDT).

Participants will be placed into small working groups, with dedicated time to actively develop and strengthen their materials, so come ready to dive in. Registrants will also receive a workshop resource package in advance.

Everyone is welcome, including postdocs, those pursuing a second promotion, and Assistant professors. While we will focus on effective communication of community-based research impacts, the strategies can be beneficial to academics broadly.
